Tony LaRusso has been a part of National Grid for 25 years, and currently serves as a Project Director for National Grid Ventures, the company’s competitive division focused on accelerating the development of our clean energy future.
As Project Director, Tony is responsible for the development of hydrogen projects within NGV and National Grid’s entry into a regional hydrogen hub. His previous project work includes leading the Fields Point Liquefaction Project through a successful FERC certificate approval, Project Director for the Vermont Green Line transmission project, and leading work streams within other large NGV projects including Granite State Power Link and the NY Bight offshore wind Joint Venture Development. Tony also manages NGV Joint Venture ownership in Millennium Pipeline and serves as the Safety Health & Environment Lead within his US NGV group.
Before joining the Business Development team, Tony held roles within National Grid’s US Gas Utility business, where he managed regulatory compliance and developed renewable gas projects as a Delivery Manager in the former Sustainable Gas Group. His operational experience includes managing Rhode Island LNG Operations and various other positions within US LNG Operations. Prior to working in LNG, Tony was a Senior Engineer in Gas Project Engineering, where he designed and oversaw the construction of gas capital projects.
Tony holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University.
